In March 2020, the U.S. workforce packed up their desks and headed to work from home. As vaccination rates continue to rise, many employers in the public relations industry are finding it increasingly difficult to transition employees back to traditional workplaces, as many are demanding various benefits, including:
• Stipends for transportation costs
• Allowances to purchase professional clothing
• Wellness benefits
• Retention bonuses
There is little consensus on how quickly staff will return, and as state nexus relief measures revert back to their pre-pandemic guidance, only time will tell what the new “normal” will be for PR agencies.
